Here is what you need to tweek after OS install.
Enable Administrator account
- run cmd as administrator
- type net user administrator /active:yes
Enable ping response
- As Administrator
- Go to Windows Firewall
- Open Advanced settings
- Find and enable following rules
- File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In), Domain
- File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In), Public
- File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv6-In), Domain
- File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv6-In), Public
Remote Desktop connections
Wired LAN priority
- open Control Panel
- go to Network connections
- open Advanced menu
- select Advanced settings
- in the connections box reorder them as you want them to be
