ESP32 Arduino IDE Board Install Error

I've tried to add ESP32 boards to newly downloaded Arduino IDE 1.8.13 and had issue.

Problem

First, I added new URL to preferences: https://dl.espressif.com/dl/package_esp32_index.json 
And then when you go to Boards Manager - you got error

Error downloading https://dl.espressif.com/dl/package_esp32_index.json

This is due bad certificates.

Solution

1. I found another boards URL here https://github.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/blob/master/docs/arduino-ide/boards_manager.md
2. It was https://raw.githubusercontent.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/gh-pages/package_esp32_index.json
3. And now Boards Manager not throw error for downloading.
4. But because board SDK files need to be downloaded from dl.espressif.com - you will get more errors again.
5. Workaround - each time Arduino fail to download file - look for its name and respectful URL in JSON file, download manually to C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Arduino15\staging\packages and hit install again.
6. It will require 3 files than installation will continue.

3D Printer Face Shields for Medics and Professionals

Me and my friend (owner of Prusa i3 MK3S) also joined the initiative of helping with basic personal protective equipment that is out of stocks these days due to COVID-19.

I've joined to local project Masks4Docs and got STL-file.
My latest settings (version 6) and project is below for Prusa i3 MK3S.
Highlights:

• This is not a stack version. It has beep at the as finished notification.
• No need to wipe the bed - never did for 50 items.
• Slow first layer - very important.
• No fills on first layer, only 2 walls and filler.
• Infill 5% with fastest pattern.
• 2 bottom and 2 top solid layers for durability.
• This is PLA version and make sure to set extruder temp to 220-230 to overcome filament skipping. You may detect 2-3 skips at start of second layer (speed increased, temp dropped to 205-210) but it will be on inner perimeter, so no worries, then temp will rise to 220 and no skips will be from then.
• First layer extruder temp is high due to second layer speed increase and temp drop.

IMPORTANT!

This prints were testes on quality plastic from Prusa. Recently I got free roll from 3dfactory.co.il - it has extra smell and you may need to add extra perimeter to have same model strength.

1. Better fan speed and only from 3rd layer, fixes thermal runaway (filament skipping).
2. Dont move dead far away at the end end code, be ready to start again.

windows 10 stupid bug

I use Russian/English keyboards all the time.
After some shitty update, i noticed i have 2 english layouts! And i wasnt able to get rid of it until today... https://superuser.com/a/1322521

Helped me:

1. Add missing language that was listed in input methods but not in preferred languages list.
2. Remove it.
3. Then re-check - windows added again something and i repeated the steps.
